Day 1: Arrival in Kisoro – Gateway to the Highlands
Meet and greet at Kigali International Airport or Entebbe Airport, followed by scenic transfer to Kisoro. Stop for panoramic photo moments at the rolling Kigezi hills. Check into your lodge and enjoy traditional storytelling around a bonfire.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Drive to Bwindi National Park headquarters for briefing. Set out on a once-in-a-lifetime trek to find a family of mountain gorillas. Spend an unforgettable hour observing them. Return to the lodge for rest.
Day 3: The Batwa Trail Experience
Visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and embark on the Batwa Trail. Walk with Batwa guides through the forest as they share ancestral hunting, herbal medicine, and fire-making techniques. Participate in traditional dances and cultural exchange.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking & Border Visit
Head to Mgahinga for Golden Monkey Tracking — a lively trek through bamboo forests. Visit the Uganda-Rwanda border at Cyanika for a cross-cultural experience and explore border markets.
Day 5: Cultural Immersion – Kigezi Traditions & Blacksmithing
Immerse yourself in Kigezi culture — visit homesteads, learn about traditional foods, dances, and crafts. Join local artisans for a hands-on blacksmithing session where you’ll forge your own souvenir. Enjoy a cultural evening with dance and storytelling.
Day 6: Canoeing & Cycling Adventure on Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy a guided canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second-deepest lake. Try ziplining or cycling along scenic Kabale trails. Picnic lunch on an island followed by leisure or swimming. Relax by the lakeshore in the evening.
Day 7: Market Visit & Departure
Explore Kisoro Market or Kabale Central Market full of local produce and crafts. Meet traders, sample local coffee, and capture vibrant photos. Begin your return journey to Kigali or Entebbe.
